Privacy policy

How Nobicel collects, uses and protects information across our website and platform.

Last updated: 29 October 2026

Nobicel is in early access. Connections to GRA, SSNIT, HMRC and payment networks are being rolled out and are switched on for each organisation individually; until then, nothing is transmitted to those bodies on your behalf. This policy covers the information you give us today, such as your account details and any data you enter into the platform.

1. Who we are

Nobicel Ltd (“Nobicel”, “we”, “us”) builds payroll, HR and benefits software for businesses in Ghana and the United Kingdom. We act as a data controller for information collected through this website, and as a data processor for the employee information our customers load into the platform.

2. Information we collect

3. How we use information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use customer payroll data for advertising.

4. Legal bases and your rights

For Ghanaian users, we process personal data in line with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). For UK users, processing is governed by UK GDPR. Depending on where you are, you have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@nobicel.com.

5. Sharing

We share data only with service providers who help us run Nobicel — such as cloud hosting, email delivery and payment providers — under contracts that limit what they can do with it. Where the platform is connected to payment rails or statutory bodies in the future, data will be shared with them only to complete the actions you approve.

6. Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active. Payroll records are retained for the statutory period required in your country (typically six years) unless you ask us to delete your workspace earlier, in which case we remove data not subject to a legal hold.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies only: a session cookie to keep you signed in, plus small preferences stored in your browser, such as having dismissed a notice. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. If we ever add analytics, we will ask for your consent before setting them.

8. Contact

Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to privacy@nobicel.com, or by post to Nobicel Ltd, Tse Addo, Accra, Ghana.
